![]() It’s amazing how quickly the time flies. The New Year is well and truly underway and I hope it started off well for you. Unfortunately for the victims of the Haiti earthquake, the start to the New Year was horrific. They are facing a human disaster. I have been trying to find ways that I can use my talent to help out. I little bit from a lot of people adds up. As a result I pledge to contribute 100% of all my CD sales for the next month to www.hopeforhaitinow.com. This goes for both physical CDs and digital downloads. I would also like to stage a benefit concert so if anyone is interested in assisting to organize such an event, please get in touch. To purchase the album go to: lisahugo.net/discography.html, www.cdbaby.com/lisahugo, iTunes, amazon or send me an email. ![]() On a brighter note, I spent a wonderful holiday in Australia with my husband and 2 little girls. We spent Christmas together with my parents and extended family. “My Christmas Wish” came true and our visit was a wonderful surprise to many who had no idea we were coming. The attached photo is of my two girls, Emma and Joanna enjoying the great outdoors in Oz. Professionally the year started well for me with a very nice interview in “Time Out Dubai” magazine. “My Christmas Wish” was included in many radio station playlists around the world leading up to Christmas and also many podcasts and blogs. The song, together with my album “It’s Time” was also featured on Nokia sites worldwide. As for the future, I am recording a song for a group called “Artists for Freedom.” The song will be used to help create awareness about and fight against global human trafficking. I hope to be back in Europe for some performances midyear and am working on organizing some more local performances in Dubai and the Middle East before the official summer hits. Currently the temperature is between 25° and 30° during the day in mid-winter. Quite a contrast to what many of you in Europe have been experiencing over the past few months!
